Six years ago, Infovista joined the Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) and became the first service performance assurance vendor within the MEF. Since then, Infovista as a company has remained committed to MEF standards and recommendations, especially within our network performance management and SLA reporting solutions. To date, more than 40 service providers have deployed Infovista's service performance assurance software to manage their Carrier Ethernet network and services.
Continuing this history of collaboration and support, Infovista recently contributed to a white paper produced by the MEF. This white paper looked at applying Carrier Ethernet standards to the needs of cloud computing with respect to the network, and how cloud and Ethernet service providers (and their enterprise customers) can benefit from the advantages of Carrier Ethernet within this new model of computing and application delivery. Infovista's contribution to this white paper focused on the importance of network performance management and SLA reporting to ensure and prove the value of Carrier Ethernet services, derive increased revenue and effectively differentiate from the competition.
If you're interested in reading more about this topic, I welcome you to download the MEF white paper, “Carrier Ethernet for Delivery of Private Cloud Services,” and Infovista's white paper, “Accelerating Revenue Through Carrier Ethernet Service Differentiation.” Enjoy!
