Structured data collection in TEMS™ Paragon
TEMS Paragon is a scalable tool for structured data collection. The structured data collection is defined by a work order. A work order is the input to TEMS Paragon. It defines the data collection and the result processing.
Let's start at the office by checking how a work order is defined in work order designer. Select a work order. The script resource in a work order defines what activities should be performed on the devices connected to Paragon. Import or modify your desired script created in service script control designer.
This test case runs three parallel voice testing activities and a scanning activity. To ensure the data collection is performed with the correct equipment, define equipment requirements such as Model, IMSI, or IMEI. Use the goals and failures resource to define data collection completion criteria and alerts.
Drag and drop elements to create simple or advanced conditions for data collection completion, or to set up driver alert triggers. For driver turn by turn instructions add a planned route to the work order. Configure the result upload.
Once the work order has been created, it can be used in TEMS Paragon for data collection. Let's see how TEMS Paragon is used from a data collector's perspective.
When the test equipment has been connected to TEMS Paragon, we are ready to start the data collection. This is the Paragon user interface. In this example, there are four probes in the cluster running TEMS Paragon. Three of the probes have three devices each connected to them, and one has four.
Once a work order is selected for each probe, we can execute the selected work orders on all probes before the data collection starts, the test equipment is validated against the work order requirements.
During work order execution the map view in TEMS Paragon shows the current position and the progress of the data collection. Meanwhile, the navigator shows turn by turn instructions to the driver.
When the work order is run in the context of TEMS Cloud, reporting and result upload are done throughout the data collection session.
TEMS Paragon enables you to define, execute, and monitor structured data collection with precision. In this demonstration, walk through how you can: define a work order, integrate test scripts, validate equipment automatically, set goals and alerts, track and monitor data collection in real-time and enable seamless reporting.
