Company recognized in the Network Test and Measurement Category for the world’s largest 5G benchmarking project
Paris, FR, December 18th, 2023 – Infovista today announces it has been named a winner in the Fierce Innovation Awards — Telecom Edition program in the Network Test and Measurement category. The Awards program is produced by Fierce Telecom and Fierce Wireless and recognize the creators, makers, and doers of outstanding services and equipment unveiled over the past 12 months.
The awards promote the competitive spirit and initiative to spark new design, development and distribution of inventive solutions; find revolutionary tech or services; and to acknowledge and honor the most visionary operators, service providers, and vendors for their commitment to next-gen business and consumer offerings.
Infovista was recognized by the judges for its role in the world’s largest 5G benchmarking project to date. Following a merger between two North American mobile operators, the consolidated entity was required by the FCC to prove it met the specified 5G performance commitments. A mammoth task that would require the operator’s network engineers to drive over 1 million miles. Using a combination of Infovista’s cloud-native TEMS™ Cloud for centralized fleet management and the highly automated TEMS™ Paragon field test solution for multi-device benchmarking, the operator realized both significant cost and operational efficiency advantages. Crucially, Infovista’s innovative network testing solutions enabled the operator to turn this compliance-driven benchmarking from a regulatory and logistical cost into a competitive opportunity.
Alejandro Piñero, Head of Content, Fierce Technology Group at Questex said, “Congratulations to the 2023 award winners for developing solutions that exemplify excellence. We applaud you on your innovation solutions and wish you continued success.”
Winners were chosen by the awards program’s judges who are the industry's elite including analysts and service providers.
Regis Lerbour, VP Product, Network Testing and RAN Engineering at Infovista, said, “New generations of network technology bring with them new challenges. It’s not enough for network operators to have data, or even to analyze that data – they have to be able to understand it and apply it to inform decision-making and the creation of better networks for their customers. In this instance, Infovista’s innovative cloud-based, data rich, and highly automated network testing solutions were used to streamline logistics, and save time, cost and carbon footprint for the world’s largest 5G network benchmarking project, giving the operator unprecedented oversight of its network.
