RESTON, VA, 18 February 2016 — ASCOM Network Testing, the leading independent network and service assurance provider, today announced a fully integrated range of new solutions and product enhancements revolutionizing how wireless networks are tested. Using enhanced cloud and remote management options together with workflow expertise accumulated through two decades of market leadership, the TEMS™ portfolio reduces the cost and time of deploying and optimizing tomorrow’s networks.
The traditional process for deployment and optimization is both labor and time intensive. The new approach taken by Ascom’s industry-leading TEMS portfolio offers radical improvements in data collection, in analytics, and in the overall workflow of a network engineering team spread across field and office.
For data collection and analysis, Ascom is launching the DriveTester module for TEMS™ Investigation. DriveTester is a new intuitive data collection solution for use of TEMS Investigation by non-experts, designed to automate work processes and cut the complexity and training needed for drive testing, reducing the error rate, the number of site visits, and the cost. For design and optimization, Ascom is introducing TEMS™ iBuildNet, the industry’s first HetNet solution built for both indoor and outdoor pedestrian networks, and enhanced features in TEMS™ Pocket and TEMS™ Discovery for near real-time access to statistical KPIs.
For planning and real-time coordination of teams in the field, Ascom is launching TEMS™FleetManager, a cloud-based tool enabling managers to remotely distribute work instructions, view test progress and results in real time, and interact with field operations from anywhere in the world. Already in use with TEMS™ Automatic, and proven in demanding 24x7 environments where reliability is essential, TEMS FleetManager has demonstrated large reductions in the cost of drive testing and is now available for use with TEMS Investigation, TEMS Pocket and TEMS™ Symphony.
“The telecommunications industry is undergoing profound and exciting changes, and it is crucial to our customers that they are able to transform their operations, becoming more efficient even as they deploy more capacity and new services.” commented Rikard Lundqvist, General Manager Ascom Network Testing. “In addition to the advantages cloud storage and big data technology offer, we have been working with leading operators and vendors for some time to radically overhaul the way traditional drive testing and indoor testing are done, and we’re hugely excited now to be able to launch these solutions and demonstrate the benefits to all our customers.”
Ascom is exhibiting its full range of solutions at Mobile World Congress, including those mentioned here, in Hall 6, Stand L26, from February 22-25th.
