5G networks require more testing, not less, than previous generations. Networks have become more complex but also more flexible. This gives operators more opportunities to optimize their networks and improve their performance and efficiency. But to do so, operators need to go deeper in the way they test, monitor, optimize and upgrade their networks – and at the same time, move to a more narrowly focused testing approach to keep complexity and costs under control.
